Apollo’s plans and credits
Apollo charges per seat, and every seat on an account must be on the same plan. Credits are pooled across your team and granted at the start of each billing cycle. These are the plans on Apollo’s pricing page:
| Plan | Billed monthly, per seat | Billed yearly, per seat a month | Credits per seat |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 75 a month |
| Basic | $65 | $49 | 2,500 a month, or 30,000 a year up front |
| Professional | $99 | $79 | 4,000 a month, or 48,000 a year up front |
| Organization | Yearly billing only | $119, with 3 seats minimum | 6,000 a month, or 72,000 a year up front |
Apollo’s monthly view lists Organization at $149 a seat and marks it “Annual Only”. Apollo’s pricing page and pricing calculator list what each action costs:
- Email: 1 credit
- Phone number: 8 credits
- Data enrichment: 1 to 8 credits on the pricing page, “up to 9 credits per record” in the calculator’s frequently asked questions
- AI research (Apollo’s artificial intelligence research): 1 credit per run
Credits don’t roll over: “Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not carry over.” Apollo sells add-on credits for the whole team, listed in its pricing calculator. On monthly billing, they run from 400 for $10 a month to 250,000 for $3,750, or $0.025 down to $0.015 a credit. They renew every cycle until you remove them.
What one email or phone number costs in Apollo
The price of a credit depends on the plan, the billing and how many of your credits you use. If you use every credit your plan includes, each one costs this:
| Plan and billing | Price per credit | Email (1 credit) | Phone number (8 credits) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic, monthly | $0.026 | $0.026 | $0.21 |
| Basic, yearly | $0.020 | $0.020 | $0.16 |
| Professional, monthly | $0.025 | $0.025 | $0.20 |
| Professional, yearly | $0.020 | $0.020 | $0.16 |
| Organization, yearly | $0.020 | $0.020 | $0.16 |
The seat also pays for Apollo’s email sequences and integrations, so this table assumes the whole plan price goes to data. Every credit you leave unused raises the price of the ones you use. Past your plan’s credits, add-on credits cost $0.015 to $0.025 each. An extra email then costs $0.015 to $0.025, and an extra phone number $0.12 to $0.20.
Apollo compared with paying per lookup in Kairon
Kairon doesn’t sell data credits. Each lookup comes out of your usage balance. Kairon’s data pricing page lists the most each one cost on October 3, 2026. The Starter plan ($49 a month) includes $10 of that balance.
For work emails, Kairon queries Clay first and Apollo for the ones Clay misses (Clay pricing covers Clay’s side). Mobile numbers come from ContactOut.
| Apollo, Basic billed monthly | Kairon | |
|---|---|---|
| Work email | $0.026 if you use all 2,500 credits | $0.089 when found |
| Phone number | $0.21 if you use all 2,500 credits | $0.325 when found |
| Monthly price to start | $65 a seat, or $0 on Free with 75 credits | $49 for Starter, which includes $10 of balance |
Kairon’s prices are the most each lookup cost at the providers’ prices on October 3, 2026. Each lookup bills the provider’s price at that moment, so it moves when a provider changes its price. Kairon’s agent shows that price before the lookup. A lookup that finds the person but no email costs $0.063, and a phone lookup that finds nothing costs $0.025.
Data lookups need a Kairon plan. So the next tables show two Kairon columns: the lookups alone, and the lookups with Starter. Starter runs LinkedIn campaigns from Claude or ChatGPT. To send email too, you add your own Instantly account or mailboxes.
The tables count found results only and use monthly billing. When one seat’s credits run out, they add Apollo’s add-on credits or a seat, whichever costs less:
| Found work emails a month | Apollo | Kairon, lookups only | Kairon with Starter |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | $0 (Free) | $4.45 | $49 |
| 500 | $65 (Basic, 1 seat) | $44.50 | $83.50 |
| 1,000 | $65 (Basic, 1 seat) | $89 | $128 |
| 2,500 | $65 (Basic, 1 seat) | $222.50 | $261.50 |
| 5,000 | $115 (Basic, 1 seat + 2,500 add-on credits) | $445 | $484 |
| Found phone numbers a month | Apollo | Kairon, lookups only | Kairon with Starter |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | $65 (Basic, 1 seat) | $16.25 | $55.25 |
| 100 | $65 (Basic, 1 seat) | $32.50 | $71.50 |
| 200 | $65 (Basic, 1 seat) | $65 | $104 |
| 500 | $99 (Professional, 1 seat) | $162.50 | $201.50 |
| 1,000 | $198 (Professional, 2 seats) | $325 | $364 |
Read the tables this way:
- Emails: Apollo costs less from about 730 found emails a month, or from about 290 if you count Kairon’s Starter. Up to 75 a month, Apollo’s Free plan covers them.
- Phone numbers: at 8 credits each, Free’s 75 credits would cover 9 a month. Above that, Kairon’s lookups cost less below 200 a month, or below about 80 if you count Starter, and Apollo costs less after.
When Apollo is the better buy
Apollo costs less when:
- You look up more than about 730 emails a month. At 2,500 a month, an Apollo email costs $0.026, less than a third of Kairon’s $0.089.
- You look up 75 emails a month or fewer, which the Free plan covers.
- You want a contact database and an email sequencer in the same seat.
Counting lookups alone, paying per lookup costs less above 75 and up to about 730 emails a month, or from 10 to 199 phone numbers. Counting Starter, the ranges are above 75 to about 290 emails and 10 to about 80 phone numbers. Neither side carries unused value over: Apollo’s credits expire each cycle, and Kairon’s included $10 resets every month. For what else the two products do, see Kairon vs Apollo.
How we calculated these numbers
Every number on this page comes from these sources and rules:
- Apollo’s prices: Apollo’s pricing page and pricing calculator, including its add-on credit table, read in a browser on October 4, 2026 with monthly and yearly billing
- Price per credit: one seat’s plan price divided by the credits that seat gets, rounded to three decimals
- Volume tables: monthly billing, found results only, and the cheapest mix of seats and add-on credits on one plan that covers the credits needed, with one add-on pack at the prices in Apollo’s pricing calculator. The Free rows assume Free’s own 75 credits, without add-ons. The Starter columns assume the whole $10 balance goes to data lookups; if your campaigns spend part of it on AI, Kairon costs more.
- Kairon’s prices: Kairon’s data pricing page, checked on October 3, 2026, and its pricing page for Starter. Providers can change their prices, and Kairon’s agent shows the current price before each lookup.
